DrinkUpEssex is fully licensed for the sale of alcohol. We hold both a Premises License and a personal License from Southend Council. We have license conditions and procedures that include age verification and suitability for sale. These policies comply with legal requirements for the sale of alcohol and tobacco within the UK.

All purchases made on this website are governed by these Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions governing any given purchase will be those in effect at the date of your order. If you order goods after we have published any changes you will be bound by those changes. Accordingly you should check prior to each order to ensure that you understand the precise Terms and Conditions applicable to your purchase.

DrinkUpEssex takes your privacy seriously. We do not have access to your personal information when you pay by credit or debit card. We do not store any credit or debit card details for any transactions. Your personal data is protected under the Data Protection Act and other relevant UK laws.

Local Delivery

DrinkUpEssex will only deliver orders from the hours of 8am to midnight. Any orders placed outside these times may not be applicable for same day delivery. However you may be able to place orders at any time for deliveries in the future.

If an order is placed that is outside the DrinkUpEssex delivery range, we will try to deliver if possible. An additional charge may be applicable, depending on the location. We reserve the right to decline such an order.

DrinkUpEssex provides a delivery service only for persons aged 18 and over. You may be asked to show photo identification to comply with the Challenge 25 campaign. The sale of alcohol or cigarettes to anyone under the age of 18 is strictly forbidden.

DrinkUpEssex provides free delivery for any order over £20, excluding cigarettes. If the order is under £20 there will be a charge of £5 added to the final bill.

Purchase from a credit or debit card will require the card holder to be present. In addition we will ask for valid photo identification. If the person who made the order is not present, the order can only be delivered to someone over the age of 18 years who can produce valid photo identification.

If the purchaser is heavily intoxicated, or physically or verbally abusive to staff at DrinkUpEssex they will not be served. We will not deliver and we will report the abuse to the police. These addresses will not be eligible for future services.

We will only deliver our products to a residential or work place address with a valid postcode. A contact number must be provided. DrinkUpEssex will not deliver to you in the street or any other public place.

Once an order is placed DrinkUpEssex will try to deliver within 1 hour of making the order. This may vary depending on traffic and road conditions.

Last orders must be made at least 15 minutes before 12AM (midnight) our closing time. Any orders after this time will not be valid.

DrinkUpEssex drivers carry identification at all times for your safety and reassurance. Our drivers at DrinkUpEssex only carry the minimum amount of change and do not carry additional stock.

UK mainland delivery information

DrinkUpEssex will contact you if you place an order for UK mainland delivery. We will provide an estimated delivery date after the order has been confirmed and payment received. DrinkUpEssex estimates the product(s) will be delivered within 2-3 working days. If you wish to have next day delivery, you will be charged extra. UK mainland deliveries only qualify for single items only, multiple items will incur additional charges depends on the quantity.

DrinkUpEssex will charge a flat rate of £3.99 for any size or weight of parcel to be delivered to any UK mainland address. DrinkUpEssex have partnered with Hermes courier service to deliver your parcel. When an order has been confirmed and payment received, DrinkUpEssex will ship the parcel. We will provide you with a unique tracking number.

When the driver is delivering the parcel we will require the purchaser to be present and, for the safety and security of all parties, only the purchaser can sign for the parcel. The purchaser must be over the age of 18 and be able to provide a valid photo ID. If you cannot show a valid photo ID the parcel will not be delivered to you and you will not receive a refund.

The parcel will be packaged to provide the best protection for the contents. If the parcel has been damaged in transit please contact DrinkUpEssex. We will send out a replacement if the damage has been reported to Hermes. We may ask for proof of the damage.

If the product you ordered is delivered and is it not what you wanted, DrinkUpEssex will accept no liability unless you notify us directly within 10 working days. We may ask you for evidence of the contents of the parcel. If you don’t receive the product you ordered within 10 working days from the date of ordering, please contact us so we can find a solution.

If you wish to return your order, you may do so as long as the item(s) are returned within 30 days of receipt. The items must be in a resalable condition. We will refund the cost of the item(s) but not the postage and packaging. To return an order, email us so we can make the appropriate arrangements.

If you have made an order and wish to cancel the order before the item(s) are posted you may do so. We will refund the cost of the items ordered but we will not refund the postage and packaging charges.

Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.

This website contains material which is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions.

All trade marks reproduced in this website which are not the property of, or licensed to, the operator are acknowledged on the website.

Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
